A lof you can't help but see your criminal underworld element as ugly, the blemish that lowers you underneath France as the height of European beauty. You've been under it's thumb for so long, angry and frightened and annoyed, it's understandable that you would feel this way I'm not even going to make fun of you for being too innocent about it because obviously that wouldn't take. You're fully within your rights to be angry and frightened and annoyed. You all see how you have become hardened to it as beautiful but you can't see the criminal underworld element itself as beautiful.

You're too within the society perspective, living the life in front of you. You need to step outside of this and embrace the higher perspective, outside of all human structure and just look at humanity, look at it from the God perspective. The gritty beauty, you don't need to be a hardcore underworld element type to understand the gritty beauty. You don't have to be so hardcore as to embrace the criminal underworld, but you do need to embrace the beautiful tragic melodrama that is Italy. Now I believe we can place you as tied with France as the height of European beauty. The grit doesn't exactly taint the romance of being a romance country, the grit brings your romance into a completely different territory.

It destroyed people's ability to trust? It froze regions in inescapable fear? Yes, that is beautiful, that is not a cultural blemish. It's okay, you have emotional problems. On the interpersonal level it isn't ideal, however it isn't ugly.
